I've been a Tolkien geek most of my life. A friend invited me to visit Middle-earth about 40 years ago, and at this point in my life, it's just as much home to me as Texas. It's hard to explain what I felt the first time I watched FotR, and saw the Shire there on the screen, just as I'd always imagined it...and all of my friends, too. I have loved Frodo and Sam ever since I first met them, and I've loved Elijah and Sean since they first brought my Frodo & Sam to life.

I started reading fan fiction a couple of years ago, and realized after a few months that I was a actually a closet slash fan. The more I read it, the more I love it. I prefer hobbit-smut, especially Frodo/Sam, as well as an occasional Merry/Pippin. I tend to lurk around and enjoy the fics and pics on everyone else's LJ rather than posting anything on mine, as I am woefully lacking any writing or artistic ability of my own. My attempts at creative writing are... somewhat less than creative.
